Can I make changes in the database? Export knowledge base Export     SubscribeSubscribe      Show article info

Changes in the database for the installed version of VisionProject are not allowed unless these changes are mentioned in the knowledge base or are approved by the support team for VisionProject. For example, you are not allowed to add/change tables, add/change fields to tables or add/change constraints between tables, since these changes may affect how the system works. If changes has been made to the system then free support for VisionProject is no longer provided, only incident based support, charged per hour. More information about our support policy is also available in our terms of use here...

Changes to data in the database for the system is not allowed either, unless these changes are mentioned in the knowledge base or are approved by the support team for VisionProject. Any data changes should be made by using the web service API to guarantee data consistency in the system. The reason for this is that business logic and data constraints are enforced through code and not in the database, so if manual changes are done by the customer these changes may affect the behavior in the system and it may result in incidents/problems that are hard to track down.

If you need to add, update or remove data in the system please have a look at the web service API, or contact our development team at support@visionflow.com for help
