The hosted version of VisionProject 9.6 was released on October 26th 2013
As usual the new version includes many new features and improvements requested by our customers!
All new features are visible in the idea management section in the the support centre on the tab "Planned" for our customers.
The most important improvements are highlighted below.
Improved SLA management
+ Display in which projects an SLA Target is used on the SLA page
In the SLA page (General > Settings > SLA Settings > SLAs) you see a list of all SLA Targets for each SLA. Now you can also see which project(s) the SLA Targets are used in, if any.
+ Display which SLAs an SLA Target is used by on the SLA page
In the SLA Target page (General > Settings > SLA Settings > SLA Targets) you can now see which SLA's are using the specific target.
+ SLA Target names are now links to the SLA Target page
When editing an SLA, you have a checklist of SLA Targets. The names of the SLA Targets are now links to the SLA Target page.
Improved Email ticket system
+ Email fetching status
Now when the system is fetching emails it will set a status (pending,started, failed and finished) and different status dates (started date, finished date and last success date).
The status is shown in the Project --> Settings --> Email page. It should now be easier to see the status of the email ticket system. See example below:
If there is an error an error text is displayed. This text can be quite technical (i.e returned from a Mail server) but can give a clue why the Email fetching is not working for you. For example if someone changes the password for your email account without making the same change in VisionProject then this would be visible here.
+ Email error notification
If there is a problem with the email ticket system VisionProject will send an email to the "Error email" specified in the email ticket system.
The "Error mail" is now mandatory in the ticket system. So, please update your existing ticket system with an error mail address, if you have not done so already!
Please note that if there is an error when fetching emails, VisionProject will try again and again for 4 days, but after these the ticket system will shut down automatically.
Meeting - improved logging when users accept or decline invitations
When users get an email about a meeting, and click to accept/tentatively accept/decline invitation, then it will now be recorded in the issue history as an event like this "Meeting accepted by user John Doe". If a user accepts/declines and at the same time gives a motivation text, then the text will be shown as a comment on the issue.
The latest event (which now can be an "accept" or "decline" note) on the meeting is also called out in the recent history portlet and in the Activity page on the project.
- Performance improvements, when sending emails and saving data if the push notifications are used in your account (Chat module is active)
- When adding a worklog on a project the current project should be set as the project on the worklog
- Problem with some dateformats when saving an issue after editing a worklog
- Fixed rounding problem for remaining/actual time in subissues section
- In some scenarios the SLA targets time spent wasn't updated correcly
- Also, during some transitions we have found that the SLA targets weren't stopped or paused correctly
+ Phone integration
- The phone and mobile phone numbers were switched
- Fixed error when copying documents
