You can manage all kinds of issues in VisionProject, such as: tasks, bugs, requirements, support issues, enhancement requests, you name it! Since you can choose to create any kind of issues, you can also call them anything, according to your own terminology.
Links to create an issue is available from a number of places in VisionProject. It is EASY to create an issue! There is even an option to quick-create
issues right in the issue list.

It is easy to configure VisionProject to monitor your email accounts. Every email sent to your email account will end up as an issue in a project in VisionProject. And you can also use the integrated spam filter to filter out the unwanted emails. Along with the alert/escalation feature you will never miss a customer email again!
This also enables you to communicate with the user and get all communication logged to the issue. All communication that is about an issue is saved as history to that issue.
Another feature in the ticket system is "Processing rules" where you can define actions to be done on the issues created by incoming emails, based on selected criteria.
Simple forms is a way to have "input forms" outside of VisionProject and having issues created in VisionProject.
It can for example be used from your own website to get feedback, report bugs, ask questions, etc.
In the Issues tab you can show your issues in different views (Table view, Gantt view, Kanban/Task board or Calendar view). To view and edit an issue you just click on it, or you can use the context menu (right click) directly in the table to change specific fields on it.
You can easily filter out and see any information you want, sort it just by clicking the column, grouping the information and also exporting in the format that suits you the best.
As a lot of things in VisionProject, what columns you wish to see is customizable. You can save the different kinds of column view configuration to be able to have different views in different projects, just as it suits you.

Everywhere an issue is available you can right-click on it to open up a context menu. This gives you an extremely quick way to edit an issue. You can update multiple issues by selecting them and then use the context menu to update - the result applies to all selected issues.
You can organise your issues to have parent-child relationships. If you like to you can configure VisionProject so the sum of estimated time, remaining time, actual time, billing amount and cost amount "bubbles-up" from the children up to the parents.
As with a lot of functionality in VisionProject, you can create sub-issues from a lot of places. In the detailed issue page you can also get a good overview of the sub-issues and their progress. You can easily change the order of the issues by moving them up and down with the arrows.
To be able to link and create relationships between different issues you can add issue links. Issue links can be used in several ways. One way is merely informative, to exchange information between issues. Other ways are for example used in flow control, where you can control what issues need to be finished before another issue can start.
To get a great overview over all linked issues there is a link icon that can be shown in the issue list. This is very useful in many scenarios, such as for incident and problem management, to see all incidents linked to a certain problem. The link shows all copies of issues that have been made to other projects and in what way information are copied between the issues.
The planning board in VisionProject enables you to easily plan activities between different versions and also within the backlog. You can drag-and-drop the issues to be in the correct rank and in the correct version/iteration. The planning board also gives you team capacity and current work load for each iteration.
From the Issues tab a Calendar overview is also available that gives you a quick overview of due dates on issues and version dead-lines.
The most frequently visited page in VisionProject is by far the "Edit issue" page. This is where you:
You can export all issues that you have listed in the "Issues tab", search results and tag-views. The export can be done to Excel, comma separated file, XML, PDF and RTF. You can also choose to include the issue history logs in the export, to get all information about how the issue has progressed. If you wish to export only a selected amount of issues, they can be selected and exported through the context menu.
Every change on an issue is logged. To view all changes, including conversations with customers and comments, enter the Issue.
Tags can also be created and "assigned" to issues. The usability of tags are really endless.
You can always view a tag cloud in the left-side panel
You can choose to view the Issues in a Kanban board instead. This creates a good view of what the progress are for the different Issues. You can also drag-and-drop an Issue between the different lanes in the Kanban board. Since the board is configurable, you can choose to create your own lanes and configure them the way you want them to behave.
This is also the view where you can rank your issues or sub-issues. This is easily done by just using drag-and-drop. Ranking the issues can also be done in the table-view.
From the Kanban board you can choose to view the Cumulative Flow Diagram. This shows the progress for each status for a period of time. You can choose what time period you wish to view and also if you want the diagram to be based on amount of Issues or Estimated time.
By using the Estimated time and Remaining time fields on the issues you will always be able to track progress very easily in the burn down chart!
From the Kanban board you can choose to view the Cycle Time during a period. The Cycle Time is the time that an issue is in progress, ie the time from when you started the work on it until the time when it is completed.
