 How do I assign an issue to someone? Export knowledge base Export     SubscribeSubscribe      Show article info

To assign an issue to someone else you change the owner field on the issue to someone else. If you want to take ownership of an issue you just assign it to yourself, i.e. set yourself as owner on the issue.

 

The issue will then be visible in the new user's filter called "My open issues" which you normally add as a portlet/widget in the dashboard. 

 

If you want, you can set up the system so that the new owner gets a notification about this change.
