The user licenses are for unique active normal users in the system, i.e. each user that will use and work in the system will need a user license.

 

You purchase a number of user licenses. This number is contained in the license file that is installed on your server. Each time you create a new user inside the system, the system will check so that the total license number isn't exceeded.

 

If a user quits your company you can inactivate him/her and then re-use that user license for someone else.

 

Contacts and "support users"/customers are not considered normal users and are free of charge. More info about this is available here...
